NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

About Our NDT Inspection Services

Advantage Marine Services (AMS) provides a comprehensive range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services for the marine, offshore, oil and gas, petrochemical and industrial sectors. NDT allows materials, components and structures to be inspected for defects, damage or deterioration without affecting their usability. It is an important part of maintaining asset integrity and identifying potential issues before they develop into more serious problems. Our technicians are also experienced in working in challenging and difficult-to-access areas. Where required, NDT inspections can be carried out in conjunction with other access solutions, allowing critical areas of an asset to be assessed while helping clients minimise operational disruption and unnecessary downtime.

Our NDT services cover a wide range of inspection requirements, including structural assessment, pipeline inspection, storage tank surveys, hull structure evaluation and crane component testing. Depending on the application and inspection requirements, AMS utilises suitable NDT methods and advanced inspection equipment to assess the condition of materials and identify indications that may not be visible through visual inspection alone.

With an AELB certification, our focus remains on safety alongside technical competency to ensure that our NDT inspections are carried out with the level of reliability required for critical marine and industrial assets. Through meticulous inspection and accurate reporting, AMS supports clients in understanding the condition of their assets and making informed decisions regarding maintenance, repair and continued operation.

Testing & Inspection

Comprehensive NDT Methods

A

Conventional Testing

Conventional Testing are inspection techniques used to evaluate the properties, integrity, or internal and surface flaws of a material, and or structure without causing any permanent damage.

Remote Visual Inspection (RVI)
Conventional Radiography (IR-192/ Xray)
Magnetic Testing (Wet, Dry, Fluorescent)
Penetrant Testing
Ultrasonic Leak Testing (ULT)
Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging
Ultrasonic Testing Lamination Check
Hardness Test (UCI & LEEBS)
Eddy Current Testing Surface
Vacuum Box/ Tube
Holiday Test (Low KV & High KV)
B

Advanced Testing

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT): Big Bore, Small Bore & Stainless Steel
C-scan (Corrosion Mapping)
Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
Total Focusing method (TFM)
Computed Radiography (CR)
Digitize Radiography Testing (DRT)
Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC)
Infrared Thermography (IR)
Acoustic Emission Testing (AET)
Eddy Current Testing (ECT) for Tubing
Borescope inspection
Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM)
Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS)
Remote Field Testing (RFET)
Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing (MFL)
C

Heat Treatment

This is the the controlled thermal processing of metals and welded components to alter their mechanical properties and relieve internal stresses without damaging the part.
